Christmas Giving

Household items being donatedFor years Tennessee Avenue Animal Hospital has adopted a needy family in the community for Christmas. We work with a local church and this year we learned they have a "Pantry" at the church. Needy families can shop the pantry and get items they need for their family. We asked our clients if they would like to make donations of any nonperishable food, personal hygiene and cleaning items to the "Pantry”. Between our staff and clients we not only donated the items shown in these pictures, we also had several gifts for the two little boys in the family we adopted. The generosity of our clients made it an exceptionally bright Christmas.

A big thank you to everyone that participated!

Push 4 Pencils

box of stationery for donation Push 4 Pencils is a program put on every year by Crayons to Computers in which school supplies are collected for students in need. Tennessee Avenue Animal Hospital, along with our awesome clients, collects school supplies each year to support this fantastic event. Together with the greater Cincinnati community, in 2018, we collected 85,966 school supplies with an estimated value of $140,722! The drive is held every year through September.

Crayons to Computers is a free store for teachers and serves 16 counties in the Greater Cincinnati area. Their mission is to level the playing field in the classroom by providing students in need the tools to succeed in school. They have been in operation for more than 20 years. With more than 250 schools and about 12,000 teachers eligible to shop, Crayons to Computers strives to serve the more than 150,000 Cincinnati-area children in need.

Bowling For Rhinos

Bowling for rhinos logo This is a night of bowling to raise funds and awareness for the plight of all 5 species of rhinos (Javan, Black, White, Sumatran and Indian). Everyone gets to bowl for 2 hours and have the opportunity to participate in several other “supplemental” fundraisers including a silent auction, raffle, and more! It’s a great time, as well as a great cause. If you would like information on the annual event, go to www.cincinnatizoo.org
