HOW IT WORKS

Pet laser therapy is completely non-invasive, drug-free, and safe for our patients. We perform this procedure using a wand-like device that emits photons (light energy) that safely penetrate through muscle tissue. The light particles interact with your pet's cells to speed healing, reduce pain and decrease inflammation. Furthermore, we set the laser light to a specific frequency according to your pet's species, breed, size, coat and skin color, age, and condition.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR PET'S LASER THERAPY SESSION

Laser therapy sessions can take 10-15 minutes, and we always perform them in the exam room where you can be present. As a safety precaution, you and the technician performing the procedure will need to wear protective goggles. Since the laser light is warm, it creates a soothing effect that can put your pet to sleep! Therefore, we can also perform the procedure on the floor if your pet is more comfortable there.

Laser therapy can be used just once for acute conditions and post-op care, but chronic issues require multiple treatments. An average laser therapy package includes 6-8 sessions, but this can vary based on how well your pet responds to treatment, which can be ongoing.
